Day-by-Day Itinerary

Day 1: Arrive in Manali

Transfer to your hotel in the mountain town of Manali and relax amid pine forests and river views.

Day 2: Manali Acclimatisation

Visit Hadimba Temple and the Solang Valley, easing into the mountain air before the high-altitude drive.

Day 3: Manali to Jispa

Cross the Atal Tunnel and drive through dramatic valleys to the riverside hamlet of Jispa.

Day 4: Jispa to Sarchu

Journey over high passes onto the Trans-Himalayan plateau, overnighting in tented camps at Sarchu.

Day 5: Sarchu to Leh

Climb the famous Gata Loops and cross Taglang La, one of the world's highest passes, descending into Leh.

Day 6: Leh — Rest & Acclimatise

A relaxed day to adjust to the altitude, exploring Leh's old town, palace and Shanti Stupa.

Day 7: Leh to Nubra Valley

Drive over Khardung La to the desert valley of Nubra, with its dunes and Bactrian camels.

Day 8: Nubra Valley

Visit Diskit Monastery and the Hunder sand dunes; optional camel safari among the dunes.

Day 9: Nubra to Pangong Lake

Travel to the surreal, colour-shifting waters of Pangong Tso, set against barren mountains.

Day 10: Pangong to Leh

Return to Leh via Chang La pass, with stops for photos of the spectacular landscape.

Day 11: Leh Monastery Circuit

Explore the great monasteries of Thiksey, Hemis and Shey, plus Magnetic Hill and the Indus–Zanskar confluence.

Day 12: Departure from Leh

Transfer to Leh airport for your scenic flight out over the Himalayas.
